Theresa

Let me introduce myself, my name is Theresa. I started coaching people for interview around 20 years ago and since then I have worked with hundreds to improve their interview performance.  An Edinburgh University business graduate, I have experience of public, private and voluntary sectors and draw upon first-hand knowledge of training and recruitment processes across all sectors.  Additionally, I have developed a deep understanding and expertise in competency based interviewing.

I am passionate about helping you improve your performance and I do this by working with you on a 1-1 basis (ideally face to face) building up your answers and helping you develop techniques that work for you. I get great pleasure and satisfaction from seeing a performance move from nervous and unsure to confident and polished.I have worked with job changers, those seeking promotion, professional women returning to work and graduates taking their first steps into employment. look forward to welcoming you to Coaching for Interview. Together we can improve your interview performance.

Ai Wen

My name is Ai Wen and I work closely with Theresa since joining the team in 2016.   I started my working life as a commercial litigator in a busy city firm, graduating in Law in England & Wales and in Singapore.  Whilst on a career break, I developed skills in academic editing and coaching English as a second language.  Over the last 10 years, I have worked extensively with speakers of other languages, mainly Mandarin speakers with English as their second language.  I have coached widely in English communication skills both written and verbal, and, more recently, with a focus on helping people achieve success in the recruitment process and returning to the workplace. 

I am especially excited to be spearheading Coaching for Interview’s new service to Mandarin speakers.  I understand the challenges in communicating in a second language, and I am positive that with the right strategy, we can build on confidence and a polished interview performance.
